Today starts my new story, featuring the restoration of a vintage watch Airain (end of 1950), which is fitted with a lovely Valjoux 23 movement.
So delicate and such precision, lovely!
Delicate indeed. But sturdy enough to be still working since it was manufacured in the 50’s 😮
True craftsmanship is indeed a thing of beauty. It’s like old architecture, I look and think can we make anything that good now!
Good question. The more that the movements stems from the middle of the past century!
